Applications for the TIMREX Digital Geoscience Workshop 2026 are still open, with the application deadline set for 1 October 2026.
The international workshop focuses on advanced digital methods for mineral exploration and is designed for MSc and PhD students, university teachers and researchers, Geological Survey staff, and industry professionals.
The programme covers:
- multispectral satellite data processing
- LiDAR and photogrammetry
- integration of geophysical and satellite data
- GIS, surface geochemistry and geostatistics
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications
- porphyry copper exploration concepts
- integrated mineral exploration project design.

Training will be delivered by experts from the University of Zagreb, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Luleå University of Technology, Montanuniversität Leoben and the University of Miskolc, with the support and recommendation of EIT RawMaterials.
The on-site programme also includes field training at Zalas Mine, with practical applications of GPR, magnetometry, terrestrial laser scanning and drone technologies.
Online participation is unlimited, while places for the on-site workshop in Wrocław are limited.
